Alan F. Nugent

Al Nugent is a technology industry veteran who has served in a number of leadership roles in multinational corporations as well as early/mid-stage companies. Alan is a cofounder, CEO and President of ISAI, LLC, working on secure, scalable, global data management solutions for the healthcare, financial services, and technology product industries. He also led the development of the Oracle Cancer Research Cloud, a massive, curated multi-omic repository designed to accelerate research for individualized treatments and molecular medicine. He also is a Principal at Palladian Partners, LLC and is currently on the Board of Jaxon.ai whose technology enables the creation of training data for AI systems. Al has served as a senior technology executive for ORACLE. CA Technologies, Novell, and Xerox and was the CIO and CISO for American Re/Munich Re. Alan also advises several early/mid stage technology and healthcare startups including Jaxon.ai, Geminos.ai, Ibex, N-of-One, Lavoro Technologies, and Telogis, Inc. He co-authored Big Data for Dummies and was the lead technical editor for Causal Artificial Intelligence, and Cognitive Computing and Big Data Analytics. He is an instrument-rated private pilot and has played professional poker for the past 3 decades. Al studied Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Operations Research at MIT in Cambridge, MA. In his sparse spare time, he enjoys rebuilding older American muscle cars and motorcycles, collecting antiquarian books, epicurean cooking, and has a passion for cellaring American and Italian wines.
